Dinner music was piped into the Union dining hall at lunch and dinner yesterday with the Union Dance Committee's newly acquired public address system. Thus far the musical accompaniment is only an experiment, F. William Reeb '46, Secretary of the Union, said last night.
The dance committee will provide the music, largely excerpts from popular musical comedies, for five more days. It then intends to measure the popularity of the musical accompaniment through informal polling of the diners.
Comments about the music which have already been dropped into the Union suggestion box registered enthusiasm, requests for different music, and complete scorn for the whole idea.
