Harvard's 1914 crew, which started the rowing world by winning the Grand Challenge Cup in the Henley Regatta on the Thames that year, will gather tomorrow for its thirty-fifth reunion, a feature of which will be a short "pull" on the Charles.
Averaging 175 pounds, this eight won over a field which included four English crews; a German crew; a boat from the Winnipeg Rowing Club; and one from the Union Boat Club of Boston made up of Harvard graduates. In the final, it covered 1 5/16 miles in 7:20.
The crew was captained by Leverett Saltonstall '14, who rowed bow.
