Kirkland Wins House Pistol Championship

Kirkland's firing squad mowed down six House teams to capture the inter-House pistol championship Thursday and Friday.

The Deacons, led by Bruce Harriman, scored 232 points in the meet, which was held at the Indoor Athletic Building. Eliot was second with 208 points and Lowell third with 201.

High-scoring honors went to Ed Bryant of Eliot, who fired 87 out of 100; Jim Barry of Lowell was next with 83. The competition was sponsored by the Pistol Club and did not count toward the Straus Trophy.
