'52 'Crosse Team Encounters Tufts Freshmen Today

Freshman Lacrosse players will be after their fifth win the season when they meet the Tufts '52 squad on the Business School field at 3:45 p.m. today.

The squad will be in top shape in spite of the rough game with Dartmouth last Saturday, and a win is expected over the Tufts ten. Coach Dick Meryman will have a good chance to see how his newest combinations work in this game.

He formed new midfield trios before the Dartmouth contest, but the squad wasn't really performing in top shape and it was hard to judge the coordination and endurance of the three midfields.

Starting today will be Bob Baldwin, Ned Yost, and Lon Schaffer at attack; Ripper Lynch, Al Sawyer, and Pete Brooke as first midfield; Bill Spence, Jay Byrne, and Godfrey Birckhead at defense; and Dick Thomas as goalie.

Second midfield men will be Fritz Delafield, Lauren Otis, and George Bender; while Chuck Osborne, Dick Edelman, and Pete Flemming will make up the trio.
