HUA Election Will Feature No Referenda or Survey Questions
Every student in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences gets a chance to gripe to the boss at 8 p.m. tonight in Emerson D.
Dean Wild will speak at a mass meeting of all grad students under the sponsorship of the Graduate Advisory Council. The topic of his talk is the results of a questionnaire which all graduate school students were required to fill out at registration last fall.
The purpose of the questionnaire was to discover grad students' opinions on such subjects as curriculum, social life, and other aspects of graduate education. Although the poll was run entirely by the Grad School, the Council was consulted first.
Dean Wild will explain what has already been done as a result of the questionnaires, and what can be done in the future.
In addition, three members of the Council will present reports based on investigations independent of the questionnaire. Their subjects are: student-faculty relations seminars and preparations for generals, and the exam system.
