Class of '51 Gets 17-Man Slate for Council Election

Seventeen men were nominated last night to run for the two Class of 51 posts on the Council.

The slate was announced after a second nomination committee meeting. The first had adjourned Friday with what was considered an inadequate 12-man selection from the Class of 51.

Nominees wishing to run must file formal acceptances, brief biographies, and pictures at the Council office in Phillips Brooks House before 5 p.m. Wednesday. Other aspirants must also hand in a petition with at least 25 signatures at the same time.

Tripe Election

The election for representatives of the Classes of '50, and '52 will take place Thursday, May 5.

The '51 nominees are: Carl D. Bottenfield, Alfred David, Edward L. Foote, Roy M. Goodman, III, James P. Johnson, V. Bruce LaSala, Robert L. Lasky, Miles I. Levine.

Also Bayley F. Mason, William V. Mason, Roger V. Pugh, Jr., Mitchell T. Rabkin, Bradley M. Richardson, James B. Ross, Henry M. Silviera, Jr., Thomas A. Unverferth, Thomas E. Weesner.
