'52 Faces Strong RIS Track Team

The outcome of the freshman track team's meet against Rhode Island State this afternoon may depend on the condition of Dave Cairns' injured leg.

R. I. State is known to be strong in the middle and long distances, and Cairns, who won both the 880 and the mile against BU and BC last week, may be the only member of the Crimson team capable of coping with the Rhode Islanders.

Dick Weiskopf, Ed Grutzner, and Ron Berman should be able to take care of the dashes and the quarter as they did last week.

The yardlings came through better than expected in the field events last Saturday and have shown consistent improvement in practice during the week.
