The American Veterans Committee voted last night it use its $850 Evans Carlson Memorial Fund "to help needy foreign students to study in this country."
The AVC Executive Committee will decide before June 1 the specific project for which the fund will be spent. Leading alternatives last night were the DP fund and the adoption of a Chinese student. The fund was set up over a year ago out of the proceeds of Henry A. Wallace's speech at Soldiers Field.
