The freshman tennis team opened its season yesterday afternoon with a 7 to 2 victory at Milton Academy. The only Yardlings who lost were Jerry Murphy, the team's number one man, and the number two doubles pair--Dave Aldrich and Bill Wood.
All but three of the singles matches and the third doubles match went to the Crimson in two sets. Don Blackmer, Charlie Thompson, and John Loeb--numbers two, four, and five--all won, as did Dick Becker and Humph Doormann in doubles.
