Rene Peroy's fencers, with a season record of .600, duel Columbia at 3 p.m. today in New York. At the same time, the freshmen travel away to fight Thayer Academy.
Peroy will field the same men he has been using all year, with one possible exception. Tom Masterson may wield the saber this afternoon as well as the epee, his usual weapon.
The swordsmen have sliced wins over Bowdoin, Cornell, and MIT so far, losing to Princeton and Army. The freshmen have an undefeated season, beating Andover, Clark, and BU.
After Columbia, the varsity plays Amherst on Wednesday and on Saturday tries to avenge last year's one-point loss to Yale.
The Harvard lineups: Foil: Raney, Arp, Vera. Epee: Ager, Yates, Masterson. Saber: Carter, Gay, Masterson.
