Pierce Leads Adams To Final Fencing Win

Ray Pierce of Adams House won three consecutive epee matches yesterday in the Indoor Athletic Building to give the Gold Coasters the final victory in the inter-House fencing meet. The final score was Adams 14, Kirkland 4, Eliot 1, Leverett 1, and Lowell 1.

Yesterday's contest was the third event in the three day meet. The foil matches were Monday and the saber matches were Tuesday. Each day's contest had 14 separate elimination matches, the winner of each gaining one point for his House.

The finals of each day were as follows: Monday (foil) Pierce beat Larry Zeitlin of Kirkland; Tuesday (saber) Pierce beat Paul Ode of Adams; yesterday (epee) Pierce beat Ode again.
