Good diving saved a previously undefeated Radcliffe swimming squad from a near loss to the Jackson College 45 to 45 in an away meet Tuesday night.
Virginia Gossard and Cherry Merritt placed first and second in the last event of the day to give the final tally the needed eight point boost. The Annex medley relay team also won a first.
Other top spots in the meet went to Marty Sherich in both breaststroke and 50-yard freestyle, and to Eleanor Gossard in sidestroke form.
Earlier in the evening the Jackson basketball squads outclassed the two Annex teams 19 to 8 and 19 to 14.
