Professor Norbert Wiener of MIT will open a two-day conference on Mathematical Models in the Social Sciences at 4 p.m. today in Emerson D with a lecture on "The Nature of Information."

Professor John Von Neumann of the Institute for Advanced Study will speak at 3 p.m. in Emerson D on "Principles of Complicated Organisms" at the second session of the forum sponsored by the Laboratory of Social Relations and the Department of Mathematics.

Tomorrow, Professor Rashevsky of the University of Chicago, will talk at 4 p.m., and the three speakers will hold a joint discussion at 8 p.m. to wind up the series. Tomorrow's talks will also be in Emerson D.
