O'Brien Elected In Annex Revote

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Final results of a revote for Radcliffe Student Government treasurer returned Jean O'Brien '51 to the office she originally won March 11, president Joan Braverman '50 announced last night.

Ninety-seven misplaced ballots, which turned up a week after the installation, had reversed the first decision and put another candidate in the office of treasurer. Miss O'Brien refused to accept the post of sub-treasurer offered her by the Student Government executive board, and an entire revote was called.

The original ballots were not counted by the official voting committee, but by three girls appointed by ex-President Joan Projansky '49 in an effort to keep the returns secret until a mass meeting the following day.

The mix-up in last week's ballot count occurred when the electoral committee, through an oversight, failed to count the votes from Everett House.

Miss O'Brien will take over the Student Government books immediately.
