Ruling Limits Jubilee Campaigning to Union

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

No Freshman Jubilee campaign rallies or stunts will take place in the Yard or other University grounds except the area immediately surrounding the Union, a special board decreed yesterday.

The board which decided the policy consisted of Dean Leighton, Assistant Dean Robert B. Watson '37, F. William Reeb 3L, Secretary of the Union, Robert L. Fischelis '49, and George I. Harris '49 of the Student Council, and John T. Hazel '51, Chairman of last year's Jubilee.

This reaffirmation of a long-standing but recently neglected ruling came as a result of the ambitiousness of the campaign plans of the 44 Jubilee Committee candidates.
