Escorted Women Can Visit Lamont

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Lamont will unbar its doors to women, but only at specified times, Head Librarian Philip J. McNiff announced yesterday. Saturday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. will be designated visiting hours for female guests of University students and faculty members.

Unescorted women will not be allowed to enter the building. Visitors may also tour Lamont during vacation.

Study facilities remain closed to women.

The decision followed a Student Council recommendation made earlier this month.
