Fear of Russia, the need of a great faith, and a community life in a world dominated by great powers are the only forces that will confederate Europe, Lincoln Gordon, professor of Government and Administration at the Business School, said last night in Littauer Auditorium.
The lecture was the third of a series sponsored by the U. N. Council entitled "The Atlantic Community--A Going Concern?"
As to the possible outcome of the idea of federalism in Europe, Professor Gordon offered three possibilities: (1), nothing will happen, which is most likely; (2), federalism under a conqueror; (3), federalism under a false belief that it can be accomplished easily.
