Crimson Fencing Squad Competes In College Meet

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Rene Peroy and 11 varsity fencers took a train to New York yesterday afternoon to enter the Intercollegiate Fencing Association meet at City College. The 52nd annual IFA championships will be held today and tomorrow.

The Crimson swordsmen, who ended their season last Saturday with a record of five victories and three defeats, are entered in both team and individual competition.

Folls Team Strong

Peroy's biggest hopes in the individual matches lie with John Gay and Fels Carter in the saber department, and with the four-man foils team, steady winners during the year. He is taking down the same men he has fielded in almost every meet during the season.

Harvard will be represented in epee by John Ager, Giles Costable, and George Yates: in foil by Chip Arp, Ray Frankmann, Bill Raney , and Joe Vera; and in saber by Carter, Gay, Bob Westhrin, and Tom Masterson.
