Matthews South easily copped the freshman intramural basketball championship yesterday in the Blockhouse by smashing Hollis, 37 to 18. Hollis was the champion for the first half year; Matthews South for the second half.

The game, close for one quarter, turned into a rout as Matthews South swept to a 26 to 10 half-time lead. Joe Shaw paced the victors with 13 points. Members of the winning team will receive silver medals for their victory.

In the only House A League basketball game, celler-dwelling Leverett preserved a scanty lead throughout to win over Dunster, 37 to 32.

Dudley edged Eliot, 46 to 45, in a B League game.
