HLU Guarantees To Back DP Drive With $100 Grant

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Liberal Union members last night joined the College wide drive to bring displaced persons to Harvard by voting to guarantee at least $100 toward DP scholarships. The action came at the HLU's regular meeting in Leverett Junior Common Room.

The group agreed to donate the entire proceeds of its next Film Series performance if it is larger than $100. The production, "Ivan the Terrible," will be shown on Tuesday.

ADA Delegates Picked

Earlier in the meeting HLU members elected five delegates to the April Americans for Democratic Action convention in Chicago. The delegates are, in the order of their election, President Herbert S. Levine '50; Donald M. Gish '50, Donald S. Willner 1L, Robert A. Levine '50, and Thomas R. Brooks '50.

The HLU also voted to install Joseph Chira '49 as temporary director of its Harvard Action Committee. This group works on HLU-supported political matters which are below the state level.
