Margaret Truman has spurned the Hasty Pudding Club's invitation to be the first woman to appear on the Pudding stage in its 101 year history, her managers announced yesterday.
Though naturally "delighted as any young girl would be" by her invitation and selection as "woman of the year," she turned down the offer to sing in "Tomorrow Is Manana" because she is too busy studying singing, the manager concluded.
