Tribune's Griffin Returns to Hub

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

For the second time within a month Eugene Griffin, Chicago Tribune specialist in tracking down "subversive activities" in eastern colleges, has come to Boston. He checked in at the Parker House last weekend.

On his present mission Griffin has shown signs of interest in a story concerning Harvard since he consulted University authorities about arranging interviews with faculty members and students. When he came to Boston early in January, Griffin declined to reveal the purpose of his trip.

Griffin was the author of the 1948 articles criticizing Ivy League colleges.
