Dick Button '52 took a long lead yesterday in his defense of his world's figure skating championship in Paris. Button amassed 638.1 points in the figure skating competition to move far in front of the 12-man field. The second phase of the championship contest-free skating, which is Button's specialty-will be staged tomorrow.
