Debate Council tongues were not agile yesterday. In the afternoon Hugh Mattlin '49 and Arthur Percel '51 lost a decision to two University of Pennsylvania debaters on federal aid to education.

Then last night Werner Pleus '51 and William Becker '51 were defeated by a Holy Cross due on the issue: 'Should the Communist Party be outlawed." Today Debate Council members will enter a New England Debating tournament at Boston University and will meet a Boston College team in Kirkland tonight at 8:30 p.m.
