The return of intramural athletics to a pre-war footing will be completed this month when the House basketball, squash and swimming teams meet Yale on Saturday, March 22. The winners of the basketball and "A" squash leagues will travel to New Haven to meet champion outfits there, while the swimmers will race a New Haven team here.

The one team that seems certain to be represented at Yale is the Adams squash team, which has plied up a commanding lead in the "A" loop. Boasting a 34-11 record, the Gold Coasters have a comfortable margin over Lowell (27-18) and Eliot (24-16) which are in a virtual tie for second place. Kirkland, Leverett, Dunster, and Winthrop follow in that order.

Leverett, with a won and lost rating of 8-1 is on top of the hoop league at present, but either Dudley or Lowell could easily take the lead before the Yale game. The Commuters have come up fast over the past few weeks to threaten the Bunnies' position. Dunster and Winthrop occupy the middle positions in the standings, while Adams, Eliot, and Kirkland, all holders of a 2-8 record, seem hopelessly mired in the collar.

The mid-point of the swimming season finds Lowell hanging on to the only undefeated record by virtue of its win in a triangular meet Thursday night. Kirkland, Eliot, and Winthrop follow with two wins and one less.

The fight in the "B" squash league seems to be between Dunster and Eliot. The two teams show a percentage tie, although the Funsters boast one more victory. Leverett is running third, and has only a slight chance of overtaking the leaders so late in the season.
