Alumni Swim Reunion Meet With Varsity

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Varsity swimmers will compete against three former Crimson captains in the traditional pre-season alumni meet this Saturday. Jack Colony '37, Bob Fallon '32, and Russell Greenhood '39 will swim for the grads in an informal meet, limited to short races to give out-of-condition grads an even chance.

The alumni have won only once in 20 years--in '39. They will be weak again this year in specialized races, particularly the breaststroke and breaststroke, and Hank Arthur '46 will probably be the only grad able to go the 220-yard freestyle.

Hal Ulen, swimming coach, hopes to form a full team of alumni by filling it out with loans from the varsity.

Fallon, George Scott '35, and Don Barker '38 will swim the relay; and Bob Aaron '46, Dave Barnes '44, George Christman '44, and Steve Wise '46 will probably return to Cambridge for the meet.
