John H. Williams, Nathaniel Ropes Professor of Political Economy, will leave for Paris by plane Saturday to take part in discussions of the European recovery program by the Organization for European Economic Cooperation.

OEEC is staffed by Europeans and administers the Marshall Plan on the European level, deciding how much aid should be allocated to each country. Williams was invited to the meeting of the OEEC by its Secretary General, Robert Marjolin.

Williams has made two previous trips to Paris in connection with the Marshall Plan. The first was in November 1948 for the OEES and the second was in May and June of this year as an adviser for the Economic Cooperation Administration. He will return in time for his second-term classes.
