The varsity A squash team bowed yesterday afternoon to the Union Boat Club Red squad, 3 to 2, in Metropolitan Squash League play.

Winners for the Crimson were Hugh Nawn at number two and Mason Harding at five. Both were extended to five sets before gaining their victories.

The summaries: Kaese (UBC) defeated Foster (H), 15-8, 15-4, 15-9; Nawn (H) defeated Thompson (UBC), 15-10, 14-15, 15-14, 8-15, 15-12; Holmes (UBC) defeated Bacon (H), 15-10, 15-9, 15-11; Roundoy (UBC) defeated Mugaseth (H), 15-7, 15-10, 15-3; Harding (H) defeated Hill (UBC), 10-15, 15-12, 12-15, 15-10, 18-16.
