Square traffic was at a standstill for over an hour yesterday afternoon when the MTA power went off at 4:30 p.m., causing cars to line up for almost a mile. Commuters on the way home during the rush hour heightened the chaos caused by the power failure. The damage was repaired by 5:30 p.m.
