Coach Poly Guyda's untried freshman soccer team opens its campaign this afternoon on the Business School Field against Tabor Academy.
Although a squad of 48 has been coming along "fairly well" at practice, Guyda won't comment further on the general strength of his team until he sees it in action today.
But individually he is counting on the aid of Win Knowlton at right wing and Bern Floring at center half. These two men have looked about the best in Guyda's grab-bag workouts.
Elsewhere there will be plenty of reserves at every position; thus Poly can experiment freely before deciding upon any permanent combination.
Last year the '52 Yardlings trimmed Tabor, 3 to 1.
