Harvard Still On Track To Reach Fossil Fuel-Neutral Status by 2026, Sustainability Report Finds
Spurred by a two-page article in this week's issue of Life magazine, over 100 students have joined Harvard's much-publicized film club, Ivy Films, up to last night.
The article, entitled "Harvard Movie," briefly tells the story of the College's first movie club and of its film, "A Touch of the Times," the premiere of which will soon be held here.
Larry Ward 50, president of Ivy, last night cleared up a few details concerning the club's film series to be held in the Lamont Forum Room for members. Explaining that the showings were not expected to cut into the Liberal Union's film series, Ward revealed that 85 percent of the Radcliffe and Harvard members would enter active competitions. The remaining 15 percent are listed as associate members and receive season tickets to the films and to discussions to be delivered by local businessmen.
As an added incentive to prospective members, club spokesmen last night promised free admission to the dates of members throughout the film series. The series this fall traces the development of the American movie, and is on loan from the New York Museum of Modern Art.
