Band Makes Surprise Visit to Boston Party

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The band serenaded the annual banquet of the Associated Industries of Massachusetts last night and formally thanked that organization for the $1,000 donation to the Stanford travel fund.

The Association, presided over by Joseph P. Spang, Jr. '15, donated the sum to the band this summer when they were seeking funds to travel to Stanford for the football opener. When last minute difficulties forced the band to cancel their trip, the Association permitted them to keep their contribution, a portion of which had already been spent for organizational expenses.

The appearance of the Band came as a surprise to the diners. Shortly after the meal had been concluded the lights in the auditorium were extinguished and the band, split into five sections, filed in.
