Fire Rules Force End Of Faculty Reception

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

President and Mrs. James B. Conant announced yesterday that the annual Faculty Reception will not be held this fall. The State Fire inspector has recently ruled that the Fogg Art Museum is unsafe to accommodate more than 675 people at one time.

The Faculty Reception has taken place in the Museum for three years, and has been attended by about 1500 people each year. No other appropriate place is available at Harvard.

Mr. and Mrs. Conant will be at home to all members of the teaching and administrative staffs and their wives from 4 to 6 p.m. on the first Sunday of each month.
