'Cliffe Council Makes Xmas Plans, Charters Federalists

Radcliffe's Class of '52 won a $75 appropriation from the Student Council yesterday to finance the annual sophomore managed Christmas Supper according to a new plan.

The supper, scheduled for December 14 in Agassiz will consist only of dessert and coffee this year, but will be free. Since the affair is the one all-college get-together aside from formal opening, the Sophomores felt that no admission should be charged. Regular dinner will be served in the dormitories before the supper and an effort will be made to invite as many commuters as possible.

An amendment to the Council's monetary appropriation awarded the Class of '52 any surplus from the $75. This would be added to the Sophomore's DP Fund.

In order to encourage interest in the annual Christmas story contest, $25 will be awarded the prize winning manuscript. Another change in the Christmas program will be the revival of the candle-light service in Christ Chapel prior to the refreshments and entertainment.

Council also chartered the Radcliffe World Federalists as an independent undergraduate organization and rechartered the Annex French Club. The new group, originally part of the Radcliffe League for Democracy, submitted the required constitution and list of 20 names necessary to become an autonomous club.

The 'Cliffe Federalists will bear no affiliation with the national United World Federalists.
