Activities are stalled today at Bowling Green University in Bowling Green, Ohio. Students are fighting a rule against beer on the campus.
Said one male student, "If we can't have a free hand with beer, at least give us some girls." This remark stemmed from another college rule prohibiting unmarried co-eds from riding in automobiles.
Students opposed the ban, saying the college should not exercise "its powers in matters which are natural and trival." Officials defended the rule as "strictly a safety measure against accidents."
One man protested, "Nothing we ever do in cars with co-eds could be called accidental."
