Four College professors and a post-doctoral student here are among the 40 American scholars named recently by the State Department as winners of awards under the Fulbright Act to teach or do research work abroad during the next academic year.
Edgaar B. Wilson, Jr. Theodore William Richards Professor of Chemistry, will study at Queens College, Oxford University. Edward H. Chamberlin, Professor of Economics and editor of the Quarterly Journal of Economics, will go to Science Economique Appiquee, Paris.
Kenneth J. Conant '15, Professor of Architecture and tutor in the Department of Fine Arts, will work at the University of Paris, France. Irving G. Fine '37, Assistant Professor of Music, and a member of the Berkshire Music Center, will also go to the University of Paris. John R. King, a post-doctoral student in education, will study at the State Training College for Teachers, Rangoon.
