Crimson to Sail In 3 Regattas

Crimson sailors will stage a three-ring show this weekend sending teams to a Harvard-Yale-Princeton regatta, a star class championship, and a freshman elimination.

In the H-Y-P affair tomorrow, Commodore Pete Putnam and John Gardiner will be skippering Crimson boats in Millford Harber on Long Island Sound with George Whitney and Henry Horner their crews. No team is a definite favorite.

At the Coast Guard Academy in New London today and tomorrow, Mike Post and Frank Scully will be racing for Harvard in the first Eastern Intercollegiate Star Class Championship. Competition will come from Cornell, Yale, Colgate, Boston College, Tufts, and the Coast Guard.

The freshman race tomorrow morning on the Charles will be one of three weekend elimination heats for the New England freshman championships. They will be racing Bowdoin, Brown, Colby Holy Cross, Tufts, and Northeastern.
