Means of setting up a branch library within the Radcliffe dormitory quadrangle are now under long range consideration by the faculty committee on the library, Dean Kerby-Miller, committee chairman, announced yesterday.
The committee, now completing remodeling plans on the present library, plans to investigate the measure as part of a program to improve library falsities at the 'Cliffe. No action will be taken, however, until revamping of the present library is completed.
All recommendations drawn up by the committee during the past year have been turned over to McGinnis and Walsh, architects for Moors Hall, who will blueprint the library plans. McCutcheon and Co., contractors for Moors Hall, will handle construction.
Committee members include Dean Kerby-Miller, chairman; professors John D. Bush, Kirtley F. Mather, Keyes D. Metcalfe, University librarian, and Miss Georgiana Hinkley, former Radcliffe librarian--a position now held by Miss Ruth Porritt.
