Yard Basketball Meet Starts Second Round

The Yard's reading period basketball tournament enters its second round tonight with eight games scheduled for the Indoor Athletic Building and Hemenway Gym. Matthews North, Matthews South, Holworthy, and Mower were all impressive in their Tuesday night outings.

Following is tonight's schedule: on court one of the Blockhouse, Holworthy vs. Mower at 7 p.m. and Stoughton vs. Thayer Middle at 7:45 p.m.; on court three, Straus vs. Matthews North at 7 p.m. and Massachusetts vs. Matthews South; at Hemenway Gym. Thayer Middle vs. Thayer South at 7 p.m., Lionnel vs. Hollis at 7:45 p.m., Claverly vs. Wigglesworth at 8:30 p.m., and Weld South vs. Weld North at 9:15.

In the finals of the pre-vacation competition Hollis defeated Weld, 25 to 24.
