8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
Jaakko Mikkola's winter track team will lead Crimson squads out of the exam-period hibernation next Saturday when it goes against some of the better collegiate talent in the East at the annual B.A.A. Games in Boston. Garden. Harvard will enter varsity and freshman mile and two-mile relay quartets, pole vaulters, sprinters, high jumpers, and hurdlers.
Four days, later, on February 9, Bill Barclay's hungry five and John Chase's hockey team get going. The basketball team will attempt to snap out of an eight game losing streak against Army at West Point, and the much-improved sextet will get its third try of the season against undefeated Boston College at the Arena.
Army and Navy are both scheduled for Blockhouse appearance on February 12 against undefeated varsity teams. The Cadets will meet Butch Jordan's wrestling squad, and the Middies will take on Hal Ulen's swimmers.
The freshman hockey team will get back into action on February 7 against Noble & Greenough, and the freshman basketball squad will start firing again two days later against Newman Prep.
