Edmond J. Gong '52, of Thayer Hall and Miami, Fla., was elected chairman of the Freshman Smoker Committee last night.
At a committee meeting the members voted to hold the Smoker in Memorial Hall. The tentative date is February 23.
The committee declared that the Smoker will aim to unify and bring the class together. The group also voted to have professional talent highlight the program. Student entertainers, however, will supplement the entertainment.
The following positions were assigned to members: Treasurer, A. Holmes Fetherolf; Publicity, Roger B. Hunt; Entertainment, Lansing Lamont and Richard M. Edelman; Business, John C. Morey and Gim P. Fong.
