Harvard's squash team dropped a close match 3 to 2 yesterday to the Boston YMCA in Metropolitan League Class "A" competition.
Playing on fast unfamiliar courts, Coach Jack Barnaby's squad won nine games out of twenty. Captain Jim McKittrick again swept his games.
This is the last squash match this term. On February 8 the squad will have a return match with the Union Boat Club, and McKittrick will have a chance to redeem his only loss of the year. The team will then resume intercollegiate play with a match against Army.
The summaries:
Warring (Y) defeated Henry Foster (H), 3-0; Olmstead (Y) defeated Hugh Foster (H), 3-1; McKittrick (H) defeated Gorman (Y), 3-1; Clark (H) defeated McAffrey (Y), 3-1; Millard (Y) defeated Ames (H), 3-2.
