'Bulletin' Selected As Year's Finest Alumni Publication

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A sleek silver and polished oak plaque now adorns the Alumni Bulletin offices, attesting to the "high level of editorial achievement" the magazine attained during the past year.

Presented to representative of the Alumni publication on July 15 by a 14-judge panel of the American Alumni Council, the award is an annual presentation to the "most distinguished Alumni Magazine of the year in the United States and Canada."

The prize was established in 1942 by Robert Sibley of the University of California, and bears his name. It will remain in the possession of the Bulletin until the next annual meeting of the Alumni Council, William Bentinck-Smith '37, editor of the publication, said last night.

Particularly spotlighted for commendation were the Bulletin's covers, illustrations, personality sketches, letter columns and "service as a medium of opinion."

One hundred and forty-four other magazines competed for the award, which was presented at a four-day meeting of the Council at Ann Arbor, Michigan.
