At a special meeting of the Advocate board last night, S. Cary Welch, Jr. '50, former Art Board head, was elected president of the magazine. The rest of the Advocate board was chosen earlier this year.
The election was held to fill the post vacated by Antonio G. Haas '44, who resigned after a full year as prexy because of a heavy study program next fall.
