The snowballing opposition to the University's curtailment of Geography picked up two dozen more adherents over the weekend, as almost every graduate student in the Department of Regional Planning affixed his signature to a protest letter to President Conant.
"Geography is not only a basic necessity to our own field, but it is one of the fundamental areas of modern education," the letter said.
