Professor Wins $5 Case ...

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

William K. Poindexter 2L has learned his lesson. "No more $5 bills to no more professors," he said after losing his suit against William A. Prosser '18, professor of Law, last night in Langdell Hall.

Judge Frederic A. Crafts, of the District Court of Waltham, decided the case in the Third District Court of Ames on the grounds that there had been no breach of contract in Prosser's dexterous classroom extraction of five dollars from Poindexter on February 13.

Admitting that a contract had been implied, he stated that the demonstration of negotiability was not necessarily completed when Prosser received the summons.

Prosser treated Mr. and Mrs. Poindexter, the Judge and both counsels to a steak dinner during court recess.
