Skippers Lose to Tech, 51-57

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Commoder Pete Putnam's skippers scraped some of the barnacles off their dinghies yesterday and turned in the best showing of the year against M.I.T. But since Tech never quite let the Crimson catch up, the Engineers finally won by a 57 to 51 score.

"We came a lot closer than I expected," Putnam delared after the race. "Our dinghies won the first heat, but the Tech sailors made up for it and then some in the next one."

M.I.T. placed first in last week's intercollegiates.
