Kirkland, Adams Nines Win Games

Dunster had a bad day on the diamond yesterday. Its ace pitcher Jerry Ulen gave up one hit in two innings and left the game a mere thirteen runs behind. The Funsters looked as if they were trying to stir up a Black Sox scandal in those first two innings as they concocted over a dozen errors and raced wildly around the field. After the smoke of battle had cleared away, the impatient umpire called the game with the score still 13 to 0.

Kirkland's ace hurler Frank McNutt twirled a neat one-hitter, shading three Dunster pitchers who gave up a collective four.

Allport is Injured

The only tragic note in the contest was sounded when a sprinting Deacon slid into third baseman Bob Allport, and the latter suffered a broken ankle.

In other action on the intramural front, Adams, behind the pitching slants of Stan Johnson, downed Fob Cobb's Eliot House, Irregulars, 8 to 1.

Winthrop's softball machine rolled to its initial victory yesterday by edging Lowell House 8 to 7.
