Tiger Goal Upsets Rugby Team, 3-0

Princeton's rugby team defeated the Crimson 3 to 0 by a penalty kick for field goal Saturday in an otherwise close contest which saw a determined Harvard onslaught fall in the second period. Some 300 rooters turned out for the game at Soldiers Field.

Two Crimson attempt at field goals failed. Toward the close of the first period Princeton had its chance when Johnson booted the pigskin cleanly between the posts for what turned out to be the winning three points.

Jose Soriano and Henrik Reynders as wing forwards broke up a number of Princeton plays after the Tiger scrum had heeled the ball out to their ace scrum half John Cotter.

Harvard's heavy scrum kept the Tiger at bay most of the game and each team only once came close to scoring on running-dribbling attacks.
