Representatives of every college in the Boston area will congregate Saturday at Tufts for the ninth annual conference of the International Student Association to consider the problem of "The Exchange Student."
Otto von Mering, Jr. 2G, student chairman, will help conduct round table discussions concerning the difficulties besetting exchange study under present unsettled world conditions. The central adddess of the gathering will be delivered by Oliver J. Caldwell, of the State Department.
Bart Jan Bok, Willson Professor of Applied Astronomy, heads a University delegation that includes Mering, Chen Chung Chang '49, and Bozena Nemcova of Radcliffe.
Some of the countries represented by participants in the conference are China, Cuba, Norway, Czechoslovakia, and France.
When reports from the afternoon sessions have been correlated for presentation, the program will conclude with a speech by Professor Leo Gross of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
